Sanjana & Viraaj
An all-ivory Anand Karaj in Chandigarh, with polki, carved green stones and pearl drops as the only colour in the look.

The wedding
Ivory, with one colour
Sanjana and Viraaj were married in an Anand Karaj in Chandigarh, on a bright morning in a garden dressed in white flowers.
Sanjana chose an all-ivory lehenga, embroidered from neckline to hem, with a sheer ivory dupatta over her hair. Viraaj matched her in an ivory sherwani and safa. With the whole look in one soft shade, the jewellery became the only colour she wore, and it had to carry the day.
Her necklace is uncut polki set in gold, with carved green stones running through it and green enamel detailing between the settings. A fringe of pearl drops softens the lower edge so it rests gently on the embroidery. A matching polki maang tikka repeats the same polki and green at her hairline, so the eye moves from her face to the necklace and back without a break.
The green works because it is quiet. It reads clearly against ivory, picks up the garden around the ceremony, and stays fresh in daylight, from the laavan to the moment the couple walked out under the floral canopy to a shower of rose petals.
It is an approach that suits any bride wearing ivory or pastels: keep the outfit calm, choose one confident colour in the stones, and carry it from the necklace to the tikka. The look feels considered rather than matched, and it photographs beautifully.
